Presently we are working on management of pests and diseases of jute by using nanoparticles such as nanosilica, nano sulphur, nano zinc oxide particles etc. Nanoparticles of efficient fungicides are also being synthesized and used for managing jute stem rot disease. We are also engaged in molecular identification of emerging pathogens of jute and allied fibre crops. Based on our previous works on endophytes we are using the promising isolates of Beauveria bassiana for biotic and abiotic stress management.
